is at hand, to move like the groove is your birthright, and to make
friendships like they were written in the stars. Come to be magic and
music, to apply the power of a healthy ordeal to your personal
ascension, and come to dive ever deeper into the Art of the Philosophers...
The
Alchemifire Ritual is an invitation to drummers, dancers, chanters,
ritualists, mask-makers, visual artists, poets and dream-weavers to
delve into a remarkable experience of Universal Fire Circle Alchemy.
We will explore the deepest of all mysteries: The Great Work of
bringing beauty and illumination to all that we do, feel, and think.
Celebrants from our previous Alchemical journeys are excited to join
with you in a ever-refining distillation of music, song, magick,
dance and poetic offerings which reflect the flowering of a new
mixture of these sacred arts.
This
is a journey of transformation through purification, temperance, and
sustained creative engagement. The interactive, improvisational
nature of our rite is best served by a crystal clear, attentive and
open participation that is unaffected by mind
altering substances. Toward this end, inebriated individuals will be
asked to depart the ritual and enjoy themselves at one of the many
other festival activities.
As
"The Jewel in the Crown" of Wisteria Summer Solstice,
there will be an in-depth series of activities on Wednesday,
Thursday, and Friday focused on preparing for the Alchemifire Ritual.
These orientations and initiations cultivate the shared connections,
knowledge, and intentions that empower three full nights of ritual
Alchemical Fires. Those who intend to participate in all, or part of
this extraordinary rite, will need to acquire the mysterious 4 part
talisman that can only obtained during Wednesday's orientations and
initiations. If "going the distance be your
destination," please be SURE you are on site no later than
Tuesday night!
All
celebrants are strongly encouraged
to invest themselves in studying the materials below before arriving
on site. These magical texts are an introduction to our Alchemical
Process, and contain keys that enable us all to magnify the related
alchemical phases while we conspire, receive, and bestow nightly
offerings of sacred art, ritual, word, and song.

DIVERSITY!
Who
we are is, in part, what we sound like when we are together. Let us
bask in the full reflection of our diverse mysteries.
In
celebration of the precious spice of our diversity, we want to make
a special point of encouraging everyone to bring the full range of
their sonic delights: singing bowls, didgeridoos (oohh yes, please
bring the didgeridoos), gongs, bells, chimes, claves, shakers, frame
drums, doumbeks, talking drums, congas, jaw harps, bird whistles,
dancing crickets, fairy dust, moon beams, and conch shells brimming
over with ocean waves. Bring your poems, your ritual theatre, your
chants, and your ears and eyes to find the perfect place for each in
the natural flow of the night. May each of these offerings emerge
fluidly as a breeze from the woods, swirling around the circle,
uniting players, dancers, and witnesses, and then dissolving away
like stars at dawn.
Together,
we have the power to make space for all of these aural wonders. Our
collective desire to bask in the musical mirror of this diverse
community will blossom in mysterious nights of firelight magic. Even
silence, that most precious gem in life's golden chain, will find its
sacred place among us.
