Keyboard
wizard, singer/songwriter George Hertzel has had an incredible music
career spanning over 25 years. His music and performances have always
managed to be on the cutting edge of technology. Hertzels shows
have many unique qualities including live video imaging during
performances. He has impressed audiences everywhere as he plays his
trademark keyboard/guitar. Over the years, he has toured occasionally
with rock legend Todd Rundgren. |

Georges
musical style combines elements of R&B, Funk, Classic Rock, Bluegrass
and
Jazz. This is contrasted with ancient and modern drum rhythms,
influences and philosophies.
In the
80s Hertzel worked with friends Todd Alan, Jim Gress and
Bongo Bob Smutak in a pioneering, high tech band THE
EFFECT. This unique band incorporated drum computers, bass,
keyboards, and guitar/guitar synthesizers in live performance. This
was augmented with live video imaging effects. |

In
Miami, Hertzel produced and played with many Rap and R&B artists
as an on staff consultant and studio programmer/engineer.
Hurricane Andrew changed his venue in August 1992. After returning to
his hometown of Cleveland Ohio, George produced and hosted a live
radio show called The Soundboard, on WHK. This show was
devoted to the music industry including interviews with musicians,
technicians, engineers, roadies, and live calls from listeners.
Georges
artistry is on hundreds of recordings and currently he is a
professor of keyboard/synthesizer and voice at the Hocking College
School of Music and Theater
in
Southeast Ohio |
