1:00 pm – Native food crops workshop and forage, by Paul Patton @ Pavilion. Foods of Place: this workshop will look at both foraged and cultivated foods that are indigenous to the New World and many plant foods that are native to the Appalachian region. The workshop will consider the history of some of our native foods and the ethnobotanical uses of many of these plants. It will conclude with the group contributing foraged items to the stone soup meal out at the heart hearth.

1:00 pm – Rubber stamp carving and letterbox workshop by Laura Werger. Come carve a rubber stamp to use in the letterboxing adventure. Learn more about the letterbox trail at Wisteria. There are 9 letterboxes placed around the site, find them and leave your mark, with your own carved rubber stamp.

6:00 pm – Main Ceremony:  Tree planting celebration, CommuniTREE @ Stone Circle. We will be planting an oak tree in the South quarter of Wisteria’s Stone Circle. Come join the community in the blessing and planting of a member of the Sacred Circle. This time of year lends itself to the most optimistic chance of the oak’s survival. Come and hear the Storytellers’ tales of Wisteria’s magic and why it feels good to be on this land and within the spiral of this community.
